The triptychon „Lunar Consciousness” shows how one’s eyes are open in another dimension during sleep or daydreaming. The Chinese signs mean “to see” and allude to human eyes by their arrangement as a pair. The ovals of the eyes which are painted as white shapes behind the signs, are positioned vertical instead of horizontal emphasizing a different mode of seeing.
