“Crossing Jordan 2″ is part of a performance series which derived from my last (2010) years`work “999. Control. No Control.” and defines a transgression between two different series of performances and installations. It is also a reference to the changes in North Africa and the Middle East which were happening at the time the performance took place, Jan 2011, and describes a journey from one state of mind and being to another, a transformation from passive victim to active doer… For me personally, in my own work it reflects a big step toward a better understanding of my position, the pride I take when I look at what I have accomplished and the aspects which distinguish me as a female artist in this rather male driven world.
