Bricelj explores the world in her own original manner; she discovers it in geometrical abstraction in line with her own system and so far without the use of a computer. Every one of her canvases can represent an enigma of life bearing incredible sensitive connotations. Her works tell stories about the universality of art, of eruptive creative energy while at the same time they indicate the possibility of transformation into new areas of art and creativity in time and space of the contemporary world. Her approach is rational and constructivist. In fictive mirror refractions Beti Bricelj creates a specific optic delusiveness, which can be transformed (or not) in accordance with geometric laws. Her attention is directed towards an exploration of space, towards geometrical solutions and relations between colors. The painting catches the observers’ eyes and carries their attention across the whole canvas.
